Our Privacy Policy

We thank you for your interest in Refugee Support Foundation (“we”, “us” and similar pronouns).  We believe in full transparency for everyone in our family of supporters, donors, beneficiaries and workers.  Our Privacy Policy is intended to promote that transparency so you can be comfortable with the information you share with us.

Your use of this website and submission of personal information to us constitutes your agreement that we may use that information as described in this Policy and that you will also abide by this Policy.  Of course, we may change and update our Policy from time to time by posting the changed policy on this website.

What Information Do We Collect?

We collect Personal information which we receive directly from you and which we may collect automatically through your use of our website.  That information may include your name, postal address, telephone number(s), email address(s), or other information. We also request that you provide us with additional personal information, such as credit card information, on our online donation pages to properly enable donation transaction processing. In addition to what you provide directly, we may automatically collect and combine with other information, information about your use of our website through cookies, web beacons, and other technologies: your domain name; your browser type and operating system; web pages you view; links you click; your IP address; the length of time and number of times you visit our site and or use our services; and the referring URL, or the webpage that led you to our site, and the following: access time, browser type, device ID, domain name, IP address, page views, pages visited and referring URL. 

If you log into our website through a social media service, you may be required to enter the email address, username, and/or password associated with that social media service. By logging in through a service, you could be granting us access to certain information hosted by the service, such as account information (this includes your name, profile picture, gender, networks, user IDs, list of friends, date of birth, contact information, email address, and any other information you have set to public on your account) and information posted on your feed or timeline. You will receive notification of and have the ability to consent to the specific information that would be shared through the sign-in process. We store the information that we receive from social media services with other information that we collect from you or receive about you.

Why Do We Collect Personal Information?

The  information we collect enables us to improve our work, communicate with you about our programs, respond to your inquiries and provide support, fulfill your requests and donations, and for other donor service purposes. We also use information to improve our understanding of your interests and better tailor the content and information that we may send or display to you, such as newsletters or other information we think may interest you.

How We Protect Your Personal Information ?

Your credit card information is secured by an independent security company.  We do not retain that information and it is used only for the particular transaction for which it was entered.  That information is automatically encrypted using current security measures which we believe secure.  Despite our best efforts, of course no security system today is completely fool proof. How Your Personal Information is Shared?

We may share your information, including personal information, as follows:

·  Our affiliates may use such information, but only in accordance with this Policy

·  You may choose to post comments, pictures, and other information on social media services, and we have no control over how that information may be used and such information may be searchable by unknown third parties

·  Our website and social media websites may link with other sites which will be governed by their privacy policies

·  Information may be shared by us as we believe appropriate to our service providers such as vendors, contractors, agents and other who provide services is pursuit of our mission

·  We may rent or exchange names, postal addresses, and telephone numbers to other organizations.  If you do not want us to share your personal information with third parties who may use such information for their own independent purposes, you may email us at wecare@RefugeeSupportFoundation. org

·  We may be required to provide your information in our records in response to a subpoena, court order or other legal process

·  We may disclose information in connection with investigations of or efforts to prevent fraud, scams, and treats to persons or property

·  If we are acquired by or merge with another organization or if we create an affiliated entity the information we have stored may be shared with such entity.

·  We also may disclose the information we collect from you where we believe it is necessary to investigate, prevent, or take action regarding illegal activities, suspected fraud, situations involving potential threats to the safety of any person, violations of our Terms of Use or this Policy, or as evidence in litigation in which we are involved.

Opt-Out Procedures; Updates

When you make a donation in support of our mission, your name and address will be placed on our physical mailing list for mail updates. We may send periodic promotional or informational emails to you. You may opt-out of such communications by following the opt-out instructions contained in the e-mail. If you opt-out of receiving emails about recommendations or other information we think may interest you, we may still send you e-mails about your account or any services you have requested or received from us.  Updated profile information and removal from receipt of emails may not remove information which is viewable in cached and archived pages a period of time.  If you do not wish to receive physical mail from us you may call us at any time by email at: wecare@RefugeeSupportFoundation.org to be removed.

Children Under 13

Our services are not designed for children under 13. If we are made aware that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, we will delete such information from our systems.
